Welcome to the Workforce Centers of Central Arkansas. The Central Arkansas Planning and Development District (CAPDD) is the agency that manages the Arkansas Workforce Centers in Central Arkansas. CAPDD administers the adult, dislocated worker, and youth employment and training programs under Title I of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Arkansas Workforce Centers operated by CAPDD are accessible to people with disabilities. Our resource areas are equipped with many assistive devices and technologies to assist our patrons. These devices and technologies include talking software (scan-and-read and JAWS screen reader), talking calculators, a variety of magnifying devices, high-intensity lamps, headphones and telephones with amplifiers, specialized keyboards and mice, adjustable height tables, TDD/TTY telephones, many documents in alternative formats (Braille, large-print, and tape), and many others. Sign language and foreign language interpreters are available with advance notice, usually 72 hours or less.
The locations and contact information for these centers can be found by clicking on the preceding links. Information about the locations of Arkansas Workforce Centers throughout the state may be found by clicking here.
The Central Arkansas Workforce Development Board adopted the document LEVERAGE in 2016, which aligns training opportunities throughout the Central Arkansas region to seven in-demand industry sectors. The document can be viewed by clicking here. The seven in-demand industry sectors include Health Care, Manufacturing, Construction and General Trades, Business Services, Education, Retail, and Transportation.
